DescriptionSilent home movie belonging to William H. Growcott of Havelock North. Titled “Bettie Edgecombe Wedding, St. Lukes 1938, Family at Home, Public Gardens.”
This film features scenes from the wedding of Bettie Marion Growcott (1918-2013) and Robert Ernest Edgecombe (1915-1973), held on 5 October 1938 at St. Lukes Church, Havelock North. The bridal party is shown departing from the Growcott family home at 53 Crosses Road, arriving at the church, and later leaving the ceremony.
